What is your attitude?

“Long ago in a faraway village, there was a place known as the house of thousands mirrors. A happily little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at a thousand other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with a thousand great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the house, he thought to himself,” this is a wonderful place. I will come and visit it often.”
In this same village, another little dog, who was not happy like the first little one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw the thousand unfriendly-looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see thousand dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself:” this is a horrible place, and I will never come back again”.
As you can see, you see the world as you are, not as it is; as Buddha said: your thoughts shape your world.
If this world were this house and the mirrors within it, and you were a visitor, which attitude you would like to have?
Your attitude determines your life experience.
You can make your life a heaven or hell. It only depends how you look at things.
“The mind has its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven” (Milton).
If you consider the world as a battle field, people are mean and nothing is good, you have already chose the perfect attitude to be always pessimist, stressed and closed. If you consider life as a gift, people are opportunities to express your love, and everything will end up good, you have chosen the best way to be always positive, happy and open to life.
It only depends on which attitude and you want to choose.
